The Lovecraft Investigations: Crowley and Mythos episode 4 were released last week!

Lovecraft Investigations: Crowley

If you missed the Kickstarter you can still get the episodes. Details here.

Note: the first two seasons of The Lovecraft Investigations used to be available via the BBC but they disappeared a while ago. Julian Simpson (the creator of the series) has set up feeds for them here. Seasons 3 and 4 are still available via the BBC feed.

Update #1: All four seasons are back on the BBC and the independent feed for seasons 1 and 2 has been retired.

Update #2: The fifth season of The Lovecraft Investigations is launching on Backerkit soon. Details here.

I signed up for The Lovecraft Investigations: Crowley kickstarter this week. They hit their target in less than 24 hours and are now focusing on what they are calling “stretch goals”, like a new Mythos episode and a feature-length audio show about the Department of Works. I enjoyed each season of The Lovecraft Investigations podcast and am looking forward to this new project. Only a year to wait …

Recently watched: Only the River Flows (2023), The Amateur (1981, not 2025), Babylon A.D. (2008). Can’t say that I’d recommend any of them.

Recently read: Finished The Living Great Lakes (Jerry Dennis), which I had been working through for quite a while. I learned a lot about the Great Lakes and it is well-written, but for some reason I had troubles picking it up. I’d read it for a few hours, and really enjoy it, but then somehow not pick it up for another week or two.

Also finished The Red Goddess (Peter Grey) and started a reread of The Worst is Yet to Come: A Post-Capitalist Survival Guide (Peter Fleming), which I read a few years ago after Warren Ellis reviewed it in his online "writer’s notebook".
